A balanced, detailed mix built from your supplied multitracks or stems, preserving the character of the performances while developing clarity, depth and impact. Includes up to two rounds of mixing revisions.

MASTERING

Final tonal, dynamic and technical refinement of your approved mix, with masters prepared for digital release and CD. Includes up to two rounds of mastering revisions.

FINAL FILES

• Digital release: 24-bit / 48 kHz stereo WAV.

• CD: 16-bit / 44.1 kHz stereo WAV.

• A single-track DDP image for CD manufacture.

An MP3 listening copy is also supplied. All files are delivered digitally; CD manufacture, vinyl cutting and pressing, and distribution are not included.

This is a mixing and mastering service, not a recording, editing or production package. Your performances, arrangement and production must be complete before you send the files.

VINYL PRE-MASTER

£25

A vinyl-ready pre-master WAV for your cutting engineer. If you also book the instrumental mix and master, the £25 add-on includes vinyl pre-masters for both the main and instrumental versions. Vinyl cutting and pressing are not included.

Choose either add-on, both or neither at checkout. The package with both add-ons is £370 in total.

IN THE ARTISTS’ WORDS

“BAY Custom Studios mixed and mastered the project remotely with passion and commitment. I had a very personal and precise vision for the music, and the studio helped bring it to life, refine the mixes and shape the album as a cohesive whole. Jack brought real sensitivity while respecting the project’s soul, and I felt heard and supported throughout. The finished tracks feel alive, expansive and deeply emotional, carrying the love and passion that went into them. The result means so much to me.”
- Da Titcha

“I’ve had the pleasure of working with Jack on several projects, and he makes the entire process better. His professionalism, musicality, generosity and sense of humour shine through. He listens carefully, welcomes honest communication and knows how to enhance the music without losing what made it special. His work brings depth, warmth, clarity and real emotional impact with an impressively quick turnaround. He is talented, reliable and easy to work with, bringing such positive energy to every project.”

WHAT TO SEND

Please check these requirements before paying.
The package is for a track that is fully recorded, edited and produced, ready to be mixed.

• Separate WAV multitracks or clearly labelled stems, exported at your original project sample rate.

• All files exported from the same timeline start point so they line up correctly, with complete endings and effect tails.

• Final performances, with take selection, vocal tuning, timing correction and arrangement edits already completed wherever needed.

• Clear file names, plus a rough mix and any reference links or notes that explain your intended sound.

PLEASE DO NOT SEND

• DAW sessions or project files, including Logic Pro, Pro Tools or Ableton Live projects, instead of exported audio. MIDI and virtual instruments must be rendered to WAV.

• MP3 or other lossy files as the source recordings for mixing. Converting an MP3 to WAV does not restore the missing audio quality. An MP3 is fine as a listening reference or rough mix, but not as a replacement for the original source files.

Keep your source files at their original project sample rate; do not resample them to 48 kHz just because the digital master will be delivered at that rate. Keep any committed sound-design or production effects that are essential to your sound, and explain them in your notes. If you are unsure what to export, ask before booking.

If you book the instrumental add-on, supply vocals separately from the instruments, including any vocal effects that need to be removed. Removing vocals from an already combined audio file or rebuilding the arrangement is not included. Tell us if any vocal textures are intended to remain.

TIME TO LISTEN. ROOM TO REFINE.

Your first mix is normally ready within 1–2 working days of your confirmed start date, provided your complete, usable files and project brief have been received and checked. Once you approve the mix, your first masters are normally ready within one further working day.

These times are subject to studio availability. Final delivery depends on your feedback, any revisions and approval at each stage. If you have a fixed release date, please check availability before booking. We aim to respond to enquiries within one working day.

HOW REVISION ROUNDS WORK

Up to two creative revision rounds are included for mixing and up to two for mastering.
A round means one consolidated set of feedback, followed by an updated version. The first mix and first master do not count as revision rounds.

If you book the instrumental add-on, please combine feedback on both versions within each round. The revision allowance applies to the booking as a whole, rather than separately to each version or delivery format.

Each mixing or mastering revision round is normally returned within 1–2 working days of receiving your consolidated feedback, subject to studio availability.

Mixing revisions refine the supplied recording and agreed direction; mastering revisions refine the approved mix’s final sound. New recordings, production changes, performance editing, unbooked additional versions and reopening an approved stage are outside the included revision rounds. Any additional work and its price will be agreed with you before it begins.
