BAY Custom Studios provides the technical environment, creative input and direct communication needed to move the music forward without imposing a standard formula. The intention is always to preserve what makes the artist distinctive while helping the performances, arrangements and sound reach their full potential.
Sessions are handled personally, with decisions made in response to the music rather than around a production-line process.

RECORDING
Capture performances with clarity, character and the right atmosphere.
BAY Custom Studios can accommodate full-band tracking, live sessions, vocals, overdubs and individual instruments. The recording setup is planned around the musicians, arrangement and sound you want to achieve.
Microphones, room selection, monitoring and signal paths are chosen for the project rather than applied as a standard setup. The aim is to create an environment in which musicians can concentrate on performing while the technical details are handled properly.
MUSIC PRODUCTION
Develop the arrangement, performance and sound without losing the identity of the music.
Production support can begin during preparation or develop naturally during the recording process. Depending on the project, this may include guidance with arrangements, instrumentation, sounds, performances, structure and the overall direction of the record.
The level of involvement is agreed with you. Some artists need an outside perspective on a nearly completed arrangement, while others want a producer closely involved throughout the project.

Keep the creative and technical process connected from preparation through to the final takes.
Combining recording and production allows the arrangement, performances and sound to develop as one coherent process. Creative choices can be tested in the studio and evaluated in the context of the complete record rather than treated as separate stages.

EVERYTHING YOUR SESSION NEEDS
RECORDING SPACES
BAY Custom Studios’ live room and three connected recording cabins allow musicians to perform together while amplifiers and louder sources are isolated where necessary. This preserves the interaction of playing together while providing greater control over the recording.
INSTRUMENTS & BACKLINE
The studio houses an extensive collection of drums, percussion, guitars, basses, amplifiers, keyboards and recording equipment. Bring the equipment that forms part of your sound, or discuss which instruments and equipment from the BAY Custom Studios collection may suit the project.
RESIDENTIAL SESSIONS
Two fully equipped, self-catering cottages are available on site for an additional fee, accommodating up to 11 guests in total. This allows artists and crews to remain close to the studio throughout longer recording projects.
A CLEAR, COLLABORATIVE PROCESS
1. TELL US ABOUT THE PROJECT
Send details about the music, number of songs, musicians, preferred working arrangement, intended services and any important dates. You can also include a private link to demos or reference material.
2. PLAN THE SESSIONS
We will discuss the sound, arrangements, equipment, rooms, production involvement and any accommodation requirements before providing a bespoke quotation and realistic schedule.
3. PREPARE THE MATERIAL
Before the sessions, we will agree what should be rehearsed or supplied in advance. Good preparation protects studio time while leaving room for creative decisions once recording begins.
4. RECORD AND DEVELOP THE MUSIC
The technical setup is handled around the musicians and project. Where production is included, arrangements, performances and sounds can be refined collaboratively during the sessions.
5. AGREE THE NEXT STAGE
After recording, the project can continue with editing, mixing and mastering where booked. The next stage, schedule and final deliverables will be agreed as part of the quotation.

Recording sessions take place at the main residential facility in Normandy, France. Production work can also be handled remotely or from the private Midlands production suite, with any in-person work there arranged individually and by prior agreement.
